Our 3-day Russian art song intensive with the lovely Japanese soprano Akari Morizane @9zane_ is over!
I was so moved and inspired by Akari's beautiful voice, dedication and huge love for Russian music!
During this time, we went over the general rules of Russian lyric diction, talked about the key style features of Rachmaninoff's art songs and practiced 12 art songs by Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky and Medtner!
Feeling so happy that I had the opportunity to meet and teach such an amazing young singer!
Dear Akari, thank you so much for flying all the way to Sydney to study with me! Wishing you all the best for your upcoming recital in Japan - and Sydney is already missing you!!! ❤️🎶
